We are Peru Bucket List. A group of adventure-seeking travelers got together to create the ultimate bucket list experiences in Peru. Our mission is to create a safe, stress-free, and most importantly epic journey for you that leaves you with even more wanderlust than you had when you arrived. We worry about the details so that you can enjoy the rich culture and history of Peru – dancing at a salsa club or hiking among the Inca spirits at Machu Picchu. 

Beyond a typical travel company, Peru Bucket List is a family. We work with tried and trusted local operators who are known for their safety standards and instant-friendship style hosting. Additionally, all of our groups are made up of 18-40-year-old international adventurers that more often than not end up friends for life. Because at the end of the day, what is travel about if not sharing once-in-a-lifetime experiences with like-minded people from around the world?

When we talk about Peruvian culture, we must definitely talk about the Peruvian dog, because for thousands of years this dog has accompanied different pre-Inca cultures across Peru. 

Proof of this can be found in several ceramics made by these ancient civilizations such as the Mochica, Chancay, Wari cultures. to name a few. Unfortunately, the Peruvian dog was not always man’s best friend. From the time of colonization up until just a few decades ago, the breed was almost forced into extinction. This was because the physical appearance of the dog was considered to represent evil. 

However, in modern Peru, this breed of dog is recognized as a matter of cultural pride. It is protected by the government and as a Cultural heritage of the Nation .

Here at Peru Bucket List, we recognize the Peruvian dog as a symbol of the great history of Peru. The Peruvian dog is a living representation of Peruvian culture, history, and perseverance.

As Peru Bucket List, we aim to share the traditions we inherited from our ancestors, offering authentic experiences throughout Peru, incorporating adventure, knowledge, and culture into each destination.
