Begin your adventure with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco. Board a comfortable overnight tourist bus to Puno. Relax and rest as you travel through the Andean highlands, arriving in Puno early the next morning.

Day 1

Arrival in Puno & Journey to the Uros Islands

05:00 am – 07:30 am

Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to a local café or hotel to enjoy a warm breakfast and a brief rest, allowing you to acclimate before the adventure begins. Feeling refreshed, set sail on Lake Titicaca to explore the iconic Uros Floating Islands, home to the Uru people. Discover their centuries-old traditions, learn how they construct their islands from totora reeds, and even take a ride on a traditional reed boat.

Uros Floating Island

8:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Step onto the reed islands of the Uru people and learn about their centuries-old way of life. Explore their floating homes, take a ride on a handcrafted totora reed boat, and stamp your passport as a unique souvenir of your visit.

Taquile Island

10:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Set sail towards Taquile Island, soaking in breathtaking Andean landscapes along the way. Then Hike to Taquile’s main square—though the ascent is challenging, the panoramic views from the top are worth every step. Savor a traditional meal of fresh trout, accompanied by Chicha de Jora, a time-honored Andean corn-based beverage. Boat trip to Amantani Island

2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Island Life

9:00 am – 1:30 pm

Experience island life firsthand by herding sheep, milking cows, or harvesting fresh vegetables (optional). Enjoy a final home-cooked meal with your host family, savoring Andean flavors and heartfelt hospitality. Before departing, express your gratitude and bid farewell to the warm-hearted family who welcomed you into their home.

A Journey Back to Cusco Under the Andean Stars

1:30 PM

Savor the final moments on Lake Titicaca as you cruise back to Puno, watching the golden highlands fade into the shimmering blue waters. Then, settle into your comfortable overnight bus for the journey back to Cusco (10 PM). As the gentle motion lulls you to sleep, reflect on the unforgettable memories of your time in the Andes. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the end of an extraordinary adventure.
