Arrival in Lima – Coastal Capital Welcome
Arrive at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in the Miraflores district. Settle in and begin your Peruvian adventure in this dynamic coastal city. Take some time to relax or explore Miraflores, known for its oceanfront parks, vibrant atmosphere, and excellent dining options.
Cusco Arrival & City Tour – Historical Inca Capital
Fly from Lima to Cusco, the historical capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour of Cusco. Visit the Plaza de Armas, Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), and the impressive Sacsayhuaman fortress, immersing yourself in Cusco’s rich history.

Explore the enchanting Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the vibrant Chinchero market and the unique Maras salt mines. Explore the impressive Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. Inca Trail Trek – Journey to Machu Picchu
Your Inca Trail adventure begins! Depart Cusco (or Sacred Valley) early and drive to Ollantaytambo for breakfast. Continue to Km 82, the Inca Trail trailhead. Meet your porter team and begin trekking. Hike along the Urubamba River, visiting Inca sites Willkarakay and Llactapata. Enjoy varied terrain and valley views. Camp overnight at Wayllabamba, preparing for the challenging days ahead.
Inca Trail Trek – Journey to Machu Picchu
Prepare for the Inca Trail’s most challenging day. Start early, ascending towards Dead Woman’s Pass (4,200m/13,779ft). Hike through changing landscapes and ecological zones. Reach the summit and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Descend to Pacaymayo Valley and campsite for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Rest and recover after conquering the pass.
Inca Trail Trek – Journey to Machu Picchu
Experience a day of Inca archaeological wonders and cloud forest beauty. Trek to Runcuracay pass and explore the Runcuracay site. Continue to Sayacmarca ruins and enjoy lunch at Phuyupatamarca. Descend through cloud forest to Intipata and the Wiñaywayna campsite. Explore the Wiñaywayna Inca site. Farewell ceremony for the trekking crew this evening.
Inca Trail Trek – Journey to Machu Picchu
The day you’ve been waiting for – Machu Picchu! Early start to reach Inti Punku (Sun Gate) for sunrise views over Machu Picchu. Hike to Machu Picchu and enter the citadel. Enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu’s key sites. Explore further on your own. Bus down to Aguas Calientes, then train to Ollantaytambo and bus to Cusco. Farewell transfer in Cusco.
