As usual, after a hearty morning meal, we set off toward San Antonio Viewpoint (5,000m), the most stunning vantage point in Huayhuash. From here, take in a breathtaking panorama of the entire mountain range, with valleys, rivers, and shimmering lagoons stretching before you. After soaking in the beauty, we begin our descent through the Calinca ravine, making our way to Huayllapa village. A challenging yet rewarding 18 km trek, covering 7 to 8 hours of pure Andean adventure.
DAY 6
After a nourishing morning meal, we begin our ascent to Tapush Pass (4,800m), where the striking Mute Devil Mountain (5,223m) dominates the skyline. Known for its accessible climb, this peak attracts many expeditions, offering breathtaking views of Susucocha Lagoon and the distant Cordillera Blanca from its summit. We continue our trek through stunning landscapes before reaching our campsite. A 14 km journey, taking approximately 5 to 6 hours.
DAY 7
After a hearty meal, we begin our ascent to Punta Yaucha (4,750m), where breathtaking views of the Huayhuash range and towering snow-capped peaks unfold. Continuing on, we reach the Jahuacocha viewpoint, offering a stunning panorama of Jahuacocha and Solterococha lagoons, considered the third most beautiful sight in the range.
