Welcome to the 2-day Paracas – Huacachina tour. Peru Bucket List is very happy that you are here. Because? Because you have landed on one of the packages that combine adventure, nature, local experience and fun.
Spend two days of fun visiting the bay of Paracas, Ica and the Huacachina desert, the only oasis in South America. Enjoy a boat tour around the Ballestas Islands, take your best picture of the Paracas National Reserve. Taste a wide variety of wines, Peruvian liquors, and of course the famous Pisco (liquor made from grapes). Tour the impressive dunes of the Ica desert in a buggy and let yourself be dazzled by the beautiful sunset in the middle of a vast inhospitable desert. A truly movie experience.

The pick-up and drop-off service is only carried out in the districts of San Isidro, Miraflores and Barranco. If you are staying in different districts, it will be at McDonalds in Kennedy Park – Miraflores.
We let you know that each buggy has a Artesanal board (made by hand) by the locals to descend the dunes (sitting or belly down)

If you are booking the Paracas – Huacachina 2-day tour (night in Paracas or Huacachina) with Peru Bucket List, we will require 100% of the full amount at booking time 10 hrs before the tour begins. *NO SHOWS & CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel 1 day prior to the tour before 5:00 pm (Peru time), a 10% administration fee will apply. After this time, there’s a 100% no-show & cancellation fee.
*CHANGES: Any changes to the tour date MUST be done before 48hrs before the tour start (Peru time). For cancellations or changes to your tour please email booking@perubucketlist.com
Ballestas Island: Be aware that the weather in Paracas (sand rain) is sometimes unpredictable. This means that if for reasons of bad weather the tour to the Ballestas Islands (offshore) could be cancelled, if this happened we would opt for a second option Bahia Blanca Tour, which is a small version of the Ballestas Islands. You will be able to appreciate the same marine species and migratory birds, the difference being that it is located close to the bay.
If there is intense bad weather on the day of the tour and we will not be able to leave by boat, we will continue with the tour to the Paracas Reserve, here you can visit: The Cathedral, the Isthmus and the famous Red Beach. This is a photography tour. Nature usually plays tricks on us; as well as very good.
Many times the weather tends to change suddenly, and many times waiting a bit made it possible for everyone to visit the Ballestas Islands. But it is not always guaranteed. We ask for your understanding, especially if you are traveling through Peru. We make these changes for your safety, most importantly.
Sunset: From our experience, the weather in Ica is usually hot almost always throughout the year. But sometimes for reasons that we do not know (rarely) it is usually a little cloudy in the city and even in the oasis. Should this happen, we ask for your understanding.
To consider
*Keep in mind that during Holy Week, National Holidays (Celebration of the Independence of Peru), Christmas and New Year. The tours: Ballestas Island and Dune buggy & sandboard have a duration of 1hr.
*Also consider that traveling during this time, it may be a bit uncomfortable due to the influx of local and foreign travelers. We may have to wait a little longer than normal.
