Itinerary

Day 1CUSCO - OLLANTAYTAMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES

We will pick you up at your hostel/hotel between 8:00 a.m. -8:30 am. After picking up all the travelers, we will continue on our bus to Chincheros (45 minutes) to one of the textile workshops, where the women of this community will teach us the traditional weaving and the original painting of all their alpaca wool fabrics.

Later we will go to the Raqchi viewpoint, which will take ten more minutes from Chincheros. Here, we will enjoy the spectacular view of the entire Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Then we will continue to Ollantaytambo. This bus trip will take us approximately 50 minutes to get there. Upon arrival, we can visit this ancient living Inca town (Optional, NO INCLUDED). Here, we will have the chance to try one of the ancient drinks in America, the famous drink of the Incas “Chicha de Jora” (fermented corn drink), depending on the day. Locals are still keeping the ancient tradition preparing it. This experience is due if there is any Chicheria open.

After the local experience, we will go to the train station, where we will take the train to Aguas Calientes. (1hr45min). Arriving at Aguas Calientes, our personnel will be waiting for you to take you to the Paititi hostel. Places where you will stay for a night.

By 6:30 pm, our Machu Picchu guide will pick you up at the hostel and take you to the restaurant (dinner included), where you will enjoy the dinner. After it, our guide will tell you the whole plan for the BIG day “VISIT MACHU PICCHU”

Day 2AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES - OLLANTAYTAMBO - CUSCO

Finally came the big day, the ascent to the famous citadel. We will wake up early for a good breakfast and recharge energy, and after that, we will start our hike at 4.30 am to Machu Picchu. Once there, our guide will give you a guided tour inside the majestic citadel for 2 hours. After the tour, you will have free time to explore, take pictures or walk around the Sanctuary.

After enjoying the magic of Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes around 12.30 pm to enjoy a delicious lunch. Once we have finished, we will get ready to go to the train station and take our train to Ollantaytambo (1hr 45min approx). Upon arrival, the bus that will take us back to Cusco will be waiting for us. Travel time 2hrs approx.

NOTE: The train departure will be according to the SCHEDULE available by the train company. It can vary depending on how early was purchased/booked your tour.

The drop-off will be at Plaza Regocijo, a place close to Plaza de Armas. We do this due the traffic in Cusco city at night is chaotic, and the arrival at your hostel door may take too much time. We hope you can understand.
