Once we have picked up all travelers, we will travel to Ollantaytambo train station by bus (1hr30min). Upon arrival, we will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes (approximately 1hr45mins) ride.

Arriving at Aguas Calientes, we will go directly to the bus station, where we will board a bus to the Citadel of Machu Picchu (20 mins) trip. We will begin our tour with a local guide that will lead us through the Citadel for a time of 2hr. Once the guided tour has ended, we will have some time to explore the sanctuary. Make sure you take plenty of photos and videos!

After enjoying the magic of Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes around 12.30 pm to enjoy a delicious lunch. Once we have finished, we will get ready to go to the train station and take our train to Ollantaytambo (1hr 45min approx). Upon arrival, the bus that will take us back to Cusco will be waiting for us. Travel time 2hrs approx.

NOTE: The train departure will be according to the SCHEDULE available by the train company. It can vary depending on how early was purchased/booked your tour.

The drop-off will be at Plaza Regocijo, a place close to Plaza de Armas. We do this due the traffic in Cusco city at night is chaotic, and the arrival at your hostel door may take too much time. We hope you can understand.

𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍: Know that Peru Bucket List will always try to provide you with the best experience for your train trip, many times in high season, these tickets usually sell out very quickly and only give you the option of returning later than what our itinerary suggests. If you get a train ticket whose departure is late and you want to change it, you are free to do so by going to the ticket office of the train company (the change will differ from availability), if there is any charge, it will be assumed by you. This usually occurs in very few cases, but it is good to know for any eventuality.

𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐒: Peru, like some Latin American countries, is not immune to some protests or strikes. You should know if it happens (road or train closure – blockade) Peru Bucket List will carry out a way to evacuate them and take them to safety (another option to return or continue), we want you to understand that this may lead to the service being affected (different) from what we promised at some beginning.
