Take a trip from Lima to the small bay of Paracas and visit the Ballestas Islands. It is famous for hosting a great variety of wildlife (cute penguins, sea lions, migratory birds, and more). Enjoy a wine and Pisco tasting in one of South America’s most emblematic and oldest vineyards. Take a moment to taste some typical dishes of the region.

Travel through the immense desert of Ica in a 4×4 vehicle equipped to ascend and descend the imposing dunes. Enjoy a picnic and a magical sunset in the middle of the desert.

Dune Buggy & Sandboarding with Picnic and Sunset.

Entrance included. Upon arrival at the desert, we will embark on a tour of the dunes with the buggies, where you will be able to practice amateur sandboarding at three different stops that will be optional for those who want to experience a dose of adrenaline. If you decide not to do so, you can take advantage of the time to take a walk on your own and take many photographs of the incredible landscape.

After enjoying the walk, we will head to the camp. The place will surprise you with its meticulous attention to detail: it will be equipped with carpets, decorated with flowers, lamps, lighting, cushions and delicious food.

Changes & Cancellations Policy

Cancellation & Changes to this tour:

*NO SHOWS and CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel 1 day before the tour before 5:00 pm (Peru time), a 10% administration fee will apply. After this time, there’s a 100% no-show & cancellation fee.

*CHANGES: Any changes to the tour date MUST be done before 5:00 pm (Peru time) 1 day before the tour.

VERY IMPORTANT

Ballestas Island: Be aware that the weather in Paracas (sand rain) is sometimes unpredictable. This means that if for reasons of bad weather, the tour to the Ballestas Islands (offshore) could be canceled, if this happened we would opt for a second option Bahia Blanca Tour, which is a small version of the Ballestas Islands. You will be able to appreciate the same marine species and migratory birds, the difference being that it is located close to the bay.

If there is intense bad weather on the day of the tour and we will not be able to leave by boat, we will continue with the tour to the Paracas Reserve, where you can visit: The Cathedral, the Isthmu,s and the famous Red Beach. This is a photography tour. Nature usually plays tricks on us; as well as very good.

Many times the weather tends to change suddenly, and many times waiting a bit made it possible for everyone to visit the Ballestas Islands. But it is not always guaranteed. We ask for your understanding, especially if you are traveling through Peru. We make these changes for your safety, most importantly.

Sunset: From our experience, the weather in Ica is usually hot almost always throughout the year. But sometimes for reasons that we do not know (rarely), it is usually a little cloudy in the city and even in the oasis. Should this happen, we ask for your understanding.

To consider

*Keep in mind that during Holy Week, National Holidays (Celebration of the Independence of Peru), Christmas and New Year. The tours: Ballestas Island and Dune Buggy & sandboard have a duration of 1hr.

*Also consider that traveling during this time may be a bit uncomfortable due to the influx of local and foreign travelers. We may have to wait a little longer than normal.
