48 hours before departure: A 30% administrative fee applies to cover operational and reservation costs.

24 hours before departure: A 45% administrative fee applies.

Less than 24 hours before departure or No-Show: A 100% cancellation fee applies.

Please note that Machu Picchu entrance tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued, in accordance with Peruvian government regulations.

Train tickets are subject to each railway company’s policies. Any request for refunds or schedule changes must be processed directly with the corresponding operator and may incur additional fees.

Date Changes

Requests to change the tour date must be submitted at least 48 hours before departure.

Date changes are subject to:

• Availability of a new Machu Picchu entrance ticket.
• Availability of train services.
• Government regulations.
• Any applicable fare differences or operator fees.

Group Size:
Minimum of 1 and a maximum of 8 participants per group, ensuring a personalized and intimate experience.

Difficulty Level:
Easy to Moderate. Suitable for most travelers, including families and seniors. The tour involves moderate walking at archaeological sites and within Machu Picchu.

Altitude Range:
The tour ranges from approximately 2,050 m (6,726 ft) in Ollantaytambo to 3,400 m (11,155 ft) in Cusco. Machu Picchu is located at 2,430 m (7,972 ft). We recommend spending at least one full day in Cusco before the tour to acclimatize.

Acclimatization:
Participants are strongly advised to spend at least one full day in Cusco prior to the tour to adjust to high altitude and enjoy the experience comfortably.

Shared Service:
This is a shared tour experience. You may be joined by other travelers booking the same program, creating a diverse and social group environment.

Accommodation:
One night in a comfortable 3-star hotel in Aguas Calientes, with a private room and breakfast included.

Pick-up & Drop-off Services:
Hotel pickup is available within Cusco downtown area. If you are staying outside this zone, an alternative pick-up point will be coordinated in advance. Return transportation to your accommodation is included at the conclusion of the tour.

Itinerary Modifications:
The itinerary may be modified due to weather conditions, operational requirements, government regulations, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances. Any additional expenses resulting from these situations are the responsibility of the traveler.

Train Departure Time:
Train schedules are assigned according to availability at the time of booking. Early reservations are strongly recommended to secure preferred departure times.

Machu Picchu Citadel Entrance Tickets:
Entrance tickets are issued according to official government availability, including the assigned circuit and entry time. Availability is limited, especially during the high season, so we strongly recommend booking as early as possible. Please review our Terms & Conditions before confirming your reservation.

Train tickets are purchased in the traveler’s name and are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Departure schedules, train category, and seating assignments are determined by the railway operator. We recommend booking well in advance to maximize the chances of obtaining your preferred schedule.

Once train tickets have been issued, any modification, cancellation, or schedule change must comply with the railway company’s policies and may incur additional charges determined exclusively by the operator.

Where a refund is applicable:

• Refunds are processed through the original payment method.
• Payment providers may apply their own transaction or processing fees.
• Peru Bucket List is not responsible for currency exchange fluctuations or third-party payment charges.

Approved refunds are subject to a 22% administrative and tax processing fee, which will be deducted from the refundable amount.
