Itinerary

Into the Amazon: Where Nature Comes Alive

Your Amazon adventure begins with an immersive journey into the jungle’s rich landscapes and wildlife. The Amazon River becomes your gateway to breathtaking scenery, exotic encounters, and unforgettable experiences, setting the stage for an extraordinary four-day expedition.

DAY 1
5:30 am – 6:00 am

Into the Cloud Forest

We’ll pick you up between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. and head toward Paucartambo, stopping at the ancient Chullpas of Ninamarca before reaching Acjanaco Pass (3,600 m), gateway to Manu National Park. Descending into the lush cloud forest, we’ll look for the Cock-of-the-Rock, trogons, quetzals, and possibly the elusive Spectacled Bear among orchids and ferns.

By afternoon, we arrive in Pilcopata and settle into Manu Green Lodge—a peaceful stay with private showers, surrounded by the Amazon.

DAY 2
From 06:00 am

River Trails, Jungle Wildlife & Amazon Nights

After breakfast, we hike through the jungle past coca fields, spotting birds, monkeys, and lush flora. At Atalaya Port, we board a canoe down the Alto Madre de Dios River, with a refreshing stop at a natural hot spring. By afternoon, we reach Paititi Lodge and set out to explore Machuwasi Lake on a balsa raft—keep an eye out for monkeys, hoatzins, and caimans. After dinner, a guided night walk reveals the rainforest’s wild nocturnal side. Overnight at the lodge with private bathrooms and showers.

«Iquitos: Where the Amazon Captures Your Soul»

The Amazon in Iquitos is not just a place—it’s an experience that stays with you. Every sunrise ignites the jungle with life, and every sunset leaves behind echoes of its wild beauty. The symphony of birdsong, the gentle ripple of river dolphins, and the towering embrace of ancient trees weave into your spirit. As you leave, the Amazon doesn’t fade—it becomes a part of you, a memory that forever calls you back.

DAY 3
06:00AM

Parrot Clay Lick & Jungle After Dark

Start your day with a serene boat ride to the parrot clay lick, where flocks of vibrant parrots gather in a colorful morning ritual. After breakfast, hike deep into the rainforest to Lake Maravilla—a hidden lagoon echoing with wildlife. From a secluded lookout, spot monkeys, birds, or even a dwarf caiman. After lunch and a bit of downtime at the lodge, head back out for an afternoon and night walk. Discover the jungle’s nocturnal side—glowing insects, frogs, and the symphony of life after sunset. Overnight at Paititi Lodge – Private bathrooms and an immersive jungle stay.

DAY 4
06:00AM

Jungle Farewell & Journey Back to Cusco

After breakfast, we board the boat for a final ride through the Amazon back to Atalaya. From there, our private bus takes us on a scenic return journey, winding once more through the misty cloud forest.

As we leave the jungle behind, the lush greenery gives way to the towering Andes. Reflect on the wild adventure as we reach Cusco around 7:00 p.m.—carrying with us unforgettable memories from deep in the heart of Peru.
