Cusco Pick up

A Scenic Bus Journey to Machu Picchu

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from Cusco, setting off on a scenic 6-hour drive through the breathtaking Sacred Valley. Marvel at the stunning Andean landscapes as we journey toward Santa Teresa for a lunch break (box lunch included). From the Hydroelectric Plant, embark on a scenic 3-hour trek through lush cloud forests to Aguas Calientes.

Aguas Calientes: The Gateway to Machu Picchu

Immerse yourself in the charm of Aguas Calientes as you unwind in its natural hot springs, explore vibrant artisan markets, or delve into history at the Machu Picchu Museum. Wander through picturesque streets lined with cafés and restaurants, savoring authentic Peruvian flavors. The day has finally arrived! Embark on your journey to the legendary Machu Picchu. Marvel at the breathtaking architecture, learn about the spiritual significance of its temples, and uncover the secrets hidden within its ancient stone walls.

Your Machu Picchu Adventure Begins!
06:00 am

The long-awaited day has arrived! After an early breakfast, begin your ascent to Machu Picchu at 4:30 AM. Once inside, embark on a 2-hour guided tour, exploring the Main Plaza, Circular Tower, Sacred Solar Clock, and Royal Quarters. Afterward, enjoy the breathtaking views and capture unforgettable moments.

Journey Back to Cusco

11:00 pm – 9:00pm

Return to Aguas Calientes on foot (1 hour 40 minutes) or opt for a quick bus ride (USD 12) and begin the scenic 3-hour trek back to Hydroelectric, where your bus awaits. The journey back to Cusco concludes around 9:00 PM, with drop-off at Plaza Regocijo due to evening traffic. IMPORTANT: Be in Aguas Calientes by 11:00 AM to ensure a timely departure—delays cannot be accommodated.

If you are booking the 2 Days Machu Picchu by Bus tour with Peru Bucket List, we will require 100% of the full amount at booking time 10 hrs. before the tour begins. CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

NO SHOWS and CANCELLATIONS:

If you cancel for any reason 48hrs before the activity begins before 4:00 pm (Peru time), a 30% administration fee will be applied (operations and logistics of the trek or tour)

24hrs before 45% administration fee will be applied (operations and logistics of the trek or tour) . After this time, a 100% no-show and cancellation fee will apply.

It should be remembered that Machu Picchu tickets and tickets are 100% non-refundable. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions, but if you need a letter to provide evidence (expenses / lost) to your insurance company about your loss and help you recover some of the costs, we will be happy to issue one.

  • Acclimatization: Spend at least 1 days in Cusco before starting
  • Shared Tour Experience: You may encounter other groups who booked the same tour, meaning there’s potential for a diverse mix of participants sharing the experience.
  • Meals Included: The package includes 1 lunch box for the in the first day & 1 breakfasts in second day. Vegetarian and vegan options are available upon advance notice.
  • Accommodation: Solo travelers will be paired with others of the same sex in either twin rooms or multi-share dorms, depending on the Aguas Calientes hotel setup.
  • Service Level: The tour operates at a Standard service level, implying moderate comfort, amenities, and inclusions.
  • Pick-up and Drop-off: Pickup service is available from the hostels/hotels located near downtown Cusco. If you are staying elsewhere, we will contact you with the exact pickup location. For the return trip, we will drop off you to Plaza Regocijo.
  • Itinerary Changes: Please note that the itinerary may be subject to modifications due to weather conditions and/or public disturbances, among other factors. We appreciate your understanding and patience should this occur.
  • Machu Picchu Citadel entraces: Conact us before booking to check the availability
  • Guide: The round-trip trek between Hidroeléctrica and Aguas Calientes does not include a guide, nor is one provided for the hike between Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. However, we will ensure that you receive detailed information, including hotel addresses. Many people choose these routes as they serve as the second gateway to Machu Picchu. Rest assured, hiking through these canyons of Machu Picchu is both easy and safe.
