Day 2 – Integration & Second Ceremony

From 8:30 am

The day begins with a light breakfast and an integration circle, where you’ll be invited to share your experience in the presence of compassionate facilitators and grounding practices like breathwork or gentle movement. After lunch, there is time to rest or take part in optional activities such as nature walks, plant baths, massage, or journaling. CANCELLATION POLICY

Because group sizes are intentionally limited:

  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Cancellations made within a defined period of 4 days before the retreat may be eligible for partial refund (minus administrative costs – 30% )
  • No refunds are issued for no-shows or voluntary early departure.

Informed Consent, Health Declaration & Liability Waiver

This document constitutes a binding informed consent and liability waiver for participation in an ayahuasca ceremony organized through Peru Bucket List and its affiliated facilitators.

By proceeding with the reservation and completing payment, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily accepted the following terms.


1. Voluntary Participation

The participant acknowledges that participation in an ayahuasca ceremony is entirely voluntary.

Ayahuasca is a traditional Amazonian plant preparation used for ceremonial and spiritual purposes, commonly practiced in regions such as the Peruvian Amazon and surrounding areas.

The participant understands that the ceremony may induce strong physical, psychological, emotional, and perceptual effects, including but not limited to:

  • Nausea and purging (vomiting)
  • Changes in perception, consciousness, or emotional state
  • Physical discomfort or fatigue
  • Temporary confusion or psychological intensity

These effects are considered part of the traditional ceremonial process.


2. Medical and Psychological Fitness

The participant declares that they are physically and mentally fit to participate in the ceremony.

By accepting this agreement, the participant confirms that they do not suffer from medical or psychological conditions that may create risks, including but not limited to:

  • Heart disease or cardiovascular disorders
  • Epilepsy or seizure conditions
  • Schizophrenia or psychotic disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Severe depression or anxiety disorders
  • Any other medical condition incompatible with altered states of consciousness

The participant further confirms that they have truthfully completed the health screening questionnaire provided before the ceremony.

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in immediate removal from the ceremony without refund.


3. Medication and Substance Restrictions

The participant confirms that they are not currently taking medications or substances that may interact negatively with ayahuasca, including but not limited to:

  • Antidepressants (SSRIs / SNRIs)
  • MAO inhibitors
  • Antipsychotic medications
  • Stimulants or sedatives
  • Recreational drugs or psychoactive substances

The participant agrees to follow the pre-ceremony dietary guidelines (“dieta”), which may include avoiding:

  • Alcohol
  • Red meat
  • Processed foods
  • Certain medications or supplements

Failure to follow preparation guidelines may increase health risks.


4. Non-Medical Nature of the Experience

The participant acknowledges and agrees that:

  • The ayahuasca ceremony is not a medical treatment.
  • The experience is not psychological therapy or clinical care.
  • No medical diagnosis or treatment is provided.

The ceremony is conducted within the framework of traditional spiritual and cultural practices.

Participants are encouraged to consult with a licensed medical professional prior to participating if they have any health concerns.


5. Assumption of Risk

The participant acknowledges that participation involves inherent risks, including psychological or physical discomfort related to altered states of consciousness.

By participating, the participant voluntarily assumes full responsibility for these risks.

The participant confirms they understand that outcomes cannot be predicted or guaranteed.


6. Emergency Medical Situations

In the event that a participant experiences a medical or psychological emergency during the ceremony:

  • Facilitators may intervene to protect the participant’s safety.
  • Emergency medical services may be contacted if necessary.
  • The participant authorizes facilitators to take reasonable actions to ensure safety.

Any medical treatment, transportation, or hospitalization costs will be the sole responsibility of the participant.


7. Medical Evacuation & Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to carry valid travel insurance that includes:

  • Medical coverage
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Adventure or alternative tourism coverage

Peru Bucket List and its facilitators do not assume responsibility for medical costs resulting from participation.


8. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of the Peru, the participant agrees to release, waive, and hold harmless:

  • Peru Bucket List
  • Its employees, facilitators, guides, and collaborators
  • Any affiliated retreat centers or ceremony locations

from any liability, claims, damages, or legal actions arising from participation in the ceremony.

This includes claims related to:

  • Physical or psychological reactions
  • Undisclosed medical conditions
  • Failure to follow preparation guidelines
  • Voluntary participation in altered states of consciousness

9. Right of Refusal or Removal

For safety reasons, organizers reserve the right to refuse participation or remove a participant if they:

  • Fail to comply with preparation guidelines
  • Provide inaccurate medical information
  • Exhibit behavior that endangers themselves or others
  • Appear physically or mentally unfit to participate

In such cases, removal from the ceremony may occur without refund.


10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Peru.

Any dispute arising from participation in the ceremony shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Peru.
